Heber is a first-year M.A. student in the Hispanic Linguistics program at Indiana University. He obtained his B.A. in English Language and Literature at Ceará State University in Brazil. He has also completed an M.A. program in Latin American Studies at Ohio University, and his final project was focused in the contact of Portuguese and Spanish language on the border between Brazil and Uruguay. Heber is interested in languages in contact, bilingualism, second language acquisition, and translation.
