Dylan Jarrett is a Ph.D. student in Hispanic Linguistics originally from Anderson, South Carolina. He received a B.A. in Spanish from Furman University and an M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics from Indiana University. His primary research interests include syntactic and semantic change, experimental pragmatics, and second language acquisition. Specifically, he is interested in the role lexical aspect plays in the development of modal meanings. Recently, he has developed an interest in Catalan linguistics and plans to extend his research to the Catalan language.
