Originally from Badajoz, in South West Spain, Enrique Rodriguez is a current first-year M.A. student in Hispanic Linguistics. Before starting his studies at Indiana University, he received a M.A. in Spanish at Western Michigan University. In April 2018, he was awarded the Department Graduate Research and Creative Scholar Award at his alma mater, Western Michigan University. His main research interests are sociolinguistics, pragmatics, politeness theories, and language documentation on the Spanish spoken in Catalonia, Spain.
