Mike Uribe is a Ph.D. student in Hispanic Linguistics. He received his B.A. in Spanish from the University of Wyoming and went to complete a M.A. in Spanish at the same institution. Mike’s major interests include English/Spanish heritage speakers, phonetics and phonology, and pragmatics. He is interested in the unique development situation of heritage speakers and how that upbringing in turn affects their language system. Additionally, he is interested in language identity in this population.
