Jamelyn Wheeler, from Mt. Carmel, Illinois, is a Ph.D. student in Hispanic Linguistics. She received a B.S. in Secondary English Education with minors in Spanish and English as a New Language from University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana, and an M.A. in Linguistics from Indiana University. Jamelyn's research interests include Sociolinguistics, Syntax and Phonology, focusing on morpho-syntactic and phonological variation in Latin America. Her recent research focuses on leísmo in Central America.
