My main area of research is the intersection between second language acquisition (SLA) and sociolinguistics. My dissertation, which follows a variationist framework, focuses on the acquisition of mood in L2 Spanish. I am also interested in the variation of phonological and morphosyntactic phenomena, and the perception and the linguistic attitudes towards socio-phonetic variables. I have taught Spanish and Linguistic courses at Indiana University and at the University of Puerto Rico.
