Dear alumni and friends,
Many greetings from sunny Bloomington!
Here in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, it has been a busy year again, with many accomplishments, events, and this year especially, policy work. Our faculty published seven books and many more articles, and Melissa Dinverno’s exhibit on Lorca and the Archive opened at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid. We had lively colloquia and several invited speakers, about whom you can read in this issue.
In this issue we feature D’Juan Wilcher (B.A. 2010, Spanish), Silvina Bongiovanni (Ph.D. 2018, Hispanic Linguistics), and Gaelle Le Calvez House (Ph.D. 2021, Hispanic Languages and Cultures).
This newsletter is published by the Department of Spanish and Portuguese to encourage alumni interest in and support for Indiana University. For activities and membership information, call (800) 824-3044 or send an e-mail to iualumni@iu.edu
