Course Description

Prerequisite: P200-P250 or equivalent

An advanced course designed to build vocabulary and competence in more sophisticated written Portuguese. It involves composition, reading and grammar. Themes are drawn primarily from current issues in Brazil.

Emphasis on conversational and reading skills using plays, short stories, poetry, and novels from Brazil, Portugal, and Luso Phone Africa. Students will also be introduced to the basics of literary appreciation.
