Taylor Brooks is a scholar of 20th and 21st century Latin American Literature and Culture with research interests bridging decolonial feminism, gender and sexuality, performance, protest movements and displacement. Her dissertation centers on women authors’ approaches to femicide in 21st century novels of Mexico and the Southern Cone. She holds a California teaching credential and has experience teaching language and Cultural Studies at all levels. At IU, she has taught Hisp-S 105, 200, 250, 280 and 324. She is from Northern California, studied in Los Angeles and likes to run and snowboard.
