Our minors in Spanish and Portuguese are a good option for students who, for a variety of reasons, cannot major. They provide you with a solid foundation in oral and written language skills and a broad introduction to Hispanic or Lusophone cultures, literatures, and/or linguistics.

Special credits in language are credits you can get for IUB courses below your current language level. Special credits are of two types: credits based on the satisfactory completion of the course you place into and credits based on high AP exam results.
