For students pursuing the Spanish-Portuguese Studies Track BA, the curriculum begins with language acquisition in both Spanish and Portuguese and expands into a rich exploration of the cultures of the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking worlds across Latin America, Europe, and/or Africa. Cultural engagement includes the study of expressive forms such as literature, film, and music. Through this multifaceted approach, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse societies shaped by these languages. By engaging deeply with both languages, students broaden their worldview, strengthen their intercultural communication skills, and prepare for careers or graduate studies in international fields.
