Department of Spanish and Portuguese

Joseph is a Doctoral Student in Hispanic Linguistics. He has chosen to live in Bloomington after having lived over five years abroad in Chile and Ukraine. He did his undergraduate studies in Spanish at Miami University and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics at Universidad de Concepción in Chile. His research interests are Phonetics/Phonology, Dialectology, Slavic Linguistics and Morphosyntax. Outside of the classroom and the university, he enjoys baking, reading and hiking.
