Shane Taylor (they/elle) is originally from San Diego, CA where they earned an M.A. in Linguistics at San Diego State University where they also completed their B.A.s in Linguistics and in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies. Their research focuses on how identity is created and expressed through language use. In particular, they are interested in gender and sexuality, speech production and perception, and computational approaches to data collection and management.
