Department of Spanish and Portuguese

I have taught Spanish as a second language at various levels, from introductory through advanced literature and culture courses. In addition, I have had the opportunity to teach at various degrees of proficiency of Spanish for Heritage Speakers from beginning to composition and conversation. Moreover, I have been an instructor of Portuguese as a second language and Portuguese for Spanish speakers as well. All of these classes have been in both hybrid and completely online formats. My field of interest focuses on cultural production from Latin America, including Brazil, created by women and queer artist, which I approach from a theoretical frame of queer studies, feminist criticism, and monster theory.
