Prerequisites: HISP-S 280; or HISP-S 281; or appropriate placement exam score
This course is designed for advanced students of Spanish interested in acquiring the historical, social, cultural, and linguistic knowledge necessary to recognize and analyze critically the multiple issues involved in intercultural communications in medical settings. The broad goal of this course is to enable students to use the knowledge and analytical skills gained from this course in order to navigate multicultural communication in medical contexts as well as more generally in today’s society.
