Dora Ahearn-Wood is a Ph.D. student in Hispanic literatures and cultures at Indiana University Bloomington and a translator of contemporary Mexican fiction. Her research focuses on the cultural memory of natural catastrophe in 19th, 20th, and 21st century Latin America and Spain, but she also loves queer poetry and all things spooky, particularly as they intersect with the environment and stories of trauma. Her translation work has appeared in Exchanges.
