Dora holds a BA in Spanish and certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Indiana University and is a Master’s student in the Hispanic Literatures program. Prior to coming to Bloomington, she worked on a variety of political campaigns across the US as well as spending time in Santiago de Chile working in a municipal migrant outreach program. Her research interests include narratives of women and traumatic memory in contemporary Latin American fiction, particularly in
cases of environmental catastrophe, as well as literary translation.
