Aida Melgarejo de Ibarra comes from the University of Seville, Spain, where she studied a double master’s program in Secondary Education and Linguistic and Literary Studies. Originally from Murcia, Spain, Aida earned a double bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting and English Studies at the University of Córdoba. She subsequently worked as a Spanish language assistant, first in France and then at Smith College, MA. Driven by her strong teaching vocation, she also pursued a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at Pablo de Olavide University, Spain. Her primary research interests include literature and film, as well as their intersections with language teaching. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, attending live music events, rollerblading, playing board games, and traveling.
