Marta Pérez Cantero is a Ph.D. student in Hispanics Linguistics originally from a small town near to Badajoz, Spain. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Studies and a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, both from the Universidad de Extremadura, Spain. She also earned a second master’s degree in Hispanic Studies from Western Michigan University. Marta has taught Spanish at Kalamazoo College and Western Michigan University. Her current research interests focus on Second Language Acquisition, Pragmatics and the use of technology in language learning. Outside of academia, Marta enjoys going to the gym and baking desserts.
