IU Portuguese graduate student Marcela Lemos has been selected the 2023 Indiana Rising Star Teacher by the Indiana Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. She really deserves this renowned state award. Her outstanding dedication and passion for teaching Portuguese and Spanish, her impressive record of publications and professional presentations, her notable leadership in world language organizations, and her involvement with students' success programs were evident in her dossier.
The Award Ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 4th at 10 am at the Marriot Indianapolis East during the AATSP IN General Assembly (http://www.aatspindiana.org/) that is part of the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association Conference (www.iflta.org).
