Teaching Professor Israel Herrera-Cárdenas has been selected the faculty recipient of the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Building Bridges Award for his passion for creating changes, dedication to empowering others, and leadership in promoting unity, equity, and diversity. The awards is given to an IU faculty who embodies the spirit of Dr. King and demonstrates to be one inspiring individual that can truly make a difference and comes from IU’s Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
