Born and raised in the vibrant region of Andalucía, Spain, I have always been captivated by the nuances of language. As a native speaker of Andalusian Spanish, I was intrigued by the distinctive qualities of my own dialect compared to other varieties of Spanish. This fascination laid the groundwork for my academic and professional pursuits in languages and linguistics. I embarked on this journey at the University of Granada, where I trained as a translator and interpreter, an experience that set the stage for my eventual move to the United States.
