The graduate program surveyed the research activity of our graduate students for the academic year, from June 2023 to May 2024. A total of 26 students, three at the master’s level and 23 at the PhD level, completed the survey, including literature, linguistics, Portuguese, and Catalan.

The combined output is 62 academic presentations by the Spanish and Portuguese graduate students. Our graduate students presented 18 papers at university-level or local conferences, 24 presentations at regional or national-level conferences, and 20 presentations at international-level conferences. Participation in 5 of these conference presentations received financial support from Indiana University. Our graduate students also engaged in collaborative research with fellow graduate students on 4 presentations and 11 collaborations with faculty members.  The graduate students were also engaged in publishing their research and listed 23 academic publications and 21 submissions.
