My name is Mout-Maine Moustapha, a senior here at IU with the graduating class of 2023. I am from Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended Ben Davis High School. I am studying biology and Spanish with a minor in chemistry on the pre-med track. I am currently preparing to take my MCAT. I am a Hudson and Holland and 21st Century Scholar student. I am also in the Hutton Honors College here at IU.
I was initially just a biology major and a Spanish minor. Fortunately, I attended an event held by the Spanish and Portuguese department with past students as they discussed their successes after completing their Spanish degree. Hearing some of the stories and the persuasion of my Spanish teachers at the time inspired me to pursue a major instead of a minor. I knew I wouldn’t regret it, as I was very engaged in my classes.
