In this symposium, held April 14, 2022 and organized by Professor Patrick Dove, four senior scholars—Kate Jenckes, Daniel Balderston, Brett Levinson, and Erin Graff Zivin—from the fields of Hispanic and Comparative Literature discussed with us their current research on the work of the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. Drawing on a wide range of methodological perspectives, including film and sound studies, genetic criticism, continental philosophy, and deconstruction, their talks described scholarly approaches that open up exciting new avenues for research in these fields.
